After a string of misfires, the UK musician’s 14th album translates unimaginable loss into some of his most darkly moving music in years. 

Tricky has always worn his bruised heart on his sleeve. His brilliantly desolate debut album, Maxinquaye, was inspired by his mother, who died when he was four years old, and a song like “Strugglin’” laid bare in excruciating detail his experiences of pain, darkness, and toil. Fall to Pieces, which contains some of the most darkly moving music that Tricky has produced since that debut album, was produced in the shadow of tragedy. Tricky’s daughter Mazy died in 2019 as he was beginning work on a new record. Here, on his 14th studio album, he translates that unimaginable loss into moments of nauseatingly raw emotion.

Fall to Pieces is the fourteenth studio album by English trip hop artist Tricky. It was released on 4 September 2020 via False Idols.

Tricky - Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws (born 27 January 1968), better known by his stage name Tricky, is a British record producer[6] and rapper. Born and raised in Bristol, he began his career as an early member of the band Massive Attack alongside Robert Del Naja, Grant Marshall & Andrew Vowles. He embarked on a solo career with his debut album, Maxinquaye, in 1995. The release won Tricky popular acclaim and marked the beginning of a lengthy collaborative partnership with vocalist Martina Topley-Bird. He released four more studio albums before the end of the decade, including Pre-Millennium Tension and the pseudonymous Nearly God, both in 1996. He has gone on to release nine studio albums since 2000, most recently Fall to Pieces (2020). In 2016, he joined Massive Attack on stage for the first time in two decades while continuing his solo career. Erik Satie, original name in full Eric Alfred Leslie Satie, (born May 17, 1866, Honfleur, Calvados, France—died July 1, 1925, Paris), French composer whose spare, unconventional, often witty style exerted a major influence on 20th-century music, particularly in France. Satie studied at the Paris Conservatory, dropped out, and later worked as a café pianist. About 1890 he became associated with the Rosicrucian movement and wrote several works under its influence, notably the Messe des pauvres (composed 1895; Mass of the Poor). In 1893, when he was 27, Satie had a stormy affair with the painter Suzanne Valadon. From 1898 he lived alone in Arcueil, a Paris suburb, cultivating an eccentric mode of life and permitting no one to enter his apartment. Miles Dewey Davis III (Alton, Illinois, SAD, 26. 5. 1926. — Santa Monica, Kalifornija, SAD, 28. 9. 1991.) bio je jedan od najznačajnijih jazz glazbenika. Kao trubač, vođa banda i kompozitor, Davis je sudjelovao u gotovo svim važnijim događajima u razvoju jazza od drugog svjetskog rata do 1990-uh. Svirao je na raznim ranim bebop pločama i snimio jednu od prvih cool jazz ploća. Kasnije je bio djelomično dogovoran za razvoj modal jazza i jazz fusiona, a koji su se razvili od njegove suradnje s drugim muzičarima kasnih 1960-ih i ranih 1970-ih. Davisov su stil sviranja uspoređivali s hodanjem po ljuskama jajeta, ton mu je bio topao i senzibilan, kada je bilo potrebno rezak i oštar, a u drugim situacijama nježan i zavodnički.  Moj teča, Aca-Aleksandar, je premiminuo 2021. godine  u Beogradu. Bio je ulični hodač, inženjer, slikar, ikonopisac. Njegov "hobi" je bila šetnja Beogradom. Živeo je u Cara Uroš-a i po četiri sata dnevno je hodao Beogradskim ulicama i parkovima. Vremenom, hod se usporio i sveo na dobar krug od par kilometara i bio je striktno vezan za obilazak porodice. Svoje dve unuke, koje su vremenom dobile svoju, žensku decu, posećivao je svaki dan. Najviše stariju pošto je živela na Vračaru, pred kraj života i odlazak sa Dorćola do Vračara za čoveka u kasnim sedamdesetim, nije bio lak put. Sa sinom sa kojim je živeo nikada nije mogao da uspostavi dobre odnose. Pred sam kraj života, dve godine pre smrti, sin ga je smestio u starački dom, gde je bez previše poseta i završio svoj život. Ova slika je rađena na njegovom platnu, koje mi je dao i posvećana je njemu.

"Druk je novi film danskog autora Tomasa Vinterberga koji je napoznatiji po radovima Festen i Jagten. Pre nekoliko dana ovaj film je bio apsolutni pobednik na dodeli Evropskih filmskih nagrada kada je odneo pobede u kategorijama najbolji film, režija, scenario i glavni glumac. Vinterberg je na filmu radio sa svojom ćerkom Anikom, koja je nažalost stradala u saobraćajnoj nesreći četvrtog dana snimanja, a pojedine scene su snimljene u njenoj školi sa drugarima iz razreda.

There is a theory that man is born with half a per mille too little. That alcohol in the blood opens the mind to the outside world, problems seem smaller and creativity increases. We know it well; after the first glass of wine, the conversation lifts, the possibilities open up. Martin is a high school teacher. He feels old and tired. His students and their parents want him terminated to increase their average. Encouraged by the per mille theory, Martin and his three colleagues throw themselves into an experiment to maintain a constant alcohol impact in everyday life. If Churchill won World War II in a dense fog of spirits, what could the strong drops do for them and their students? The result is positive in the beginning. Martin's class is in a different way now, and the project is being promoted to a real academic study with the collection of results. By 1999 they had signed with Too Pure, who released their debut album 'The Big Dig'. That year they also recorded their first of two Peel Sessions, and toured Europe. Despite good reviews for The Big Dig, they were dropped by Too Pure, only for Southern Records to pick them up, and release the album What Becomes Before in 2001. The band took a break after a second European tour in autumn 2001. In 2003, a third album Dust was released on Tritone Records, with a new line-up of Baker and Monk joined by Duncan Brown (bass) and Anthony Barratt (guitar). A collection of singles and other rarities, Found, was released in 2005 on Oof Records. The band played a few shows in 2004, 2005 and 2006 with mixture of line-ups and then took a break from live work. A compilation of demos, out takes and singles entitled Exhale on Mare Street came out on Unlabel in 2007 and was re-released in 2010 having been remastered with a couple of extra tracks included. A fourth album BM came out in autumn 2009. The album was recorded by just Baker and Monk and was released on Static Caravan as a limited lathe-cut record and download. The original line-up of Baker, Dinsdale, Monk and Penney played selected shows in 2009, 2010 (Audioscope Festival) and 2014 (The End Festival)...

"Tom Waits, in full Thomas Alan Waits, (born December 7, 1949, Pomona, California, U.S.), American singer-songwriter and actor whose gritty, sometimes romantic depictions of the lives of the urban underclass won him a loyal if limited following and the admiration of critics and prominent musicians who performed and recorded his songs. Born into a middle-class California family but enamoured of the bohemian lifestyle depicted in Beat literature, Waits lived in his car and in seedy Los Angeles hotels as he embarked on his career. "Between the release of Heartattack and Vine in 1980 and Swordfishtrombones in 1983, Tom Waits got rid of his manager, his producer, and his record company. And he drastically altered a musical approach that had become as dependable as it was unexciting. Swordfishtrombones has none of the strings and much less of the piano work that Waits' previous albums had employed; instead, the dominant sounds on the record were low-pitched horns, bass instruments, and percussion, set in spare, close-miked arrangements (most of them by Waits) that sometimes were better described as "soundscapes." Lyrically, Waits' tales of the drunken and the lovelorn have been replaced by surreal accounts of people who burned down their homes and of Australian towns bypassed by the railroad -- a world (not just a neighborhood) of misfits now have his attention. The music can be primitive, moving to odd time signatures, while Waits alternately howls and wheezes in his gravelly bass voice. He seems to have moved on from Hoagy Carmichael and Louis Armstrong to Kurt Weill and Howlin' Wolf (as impersonated by Captain Beefheart). Waits seems to have had trouble interesting a record label in the album, which was cut 13 months before it was released, but when it appeared, rock critics predictably raved: after all, it sounded weird and it didn't have a chance of selling. Actually, it did make the bottom of the best-seller charts, like most of Waits' albums, and now that he was with a label based in Europe, even charted there. Anarhizam se danas modernizovao a urbani buntovnik konformizovao. Svetska revolucija nije uspela, ostalo nam je da sami vodimo svoje bitke a ostao nam je i andergaund (underground). Pred nama je jedan  andergraund opredeljen mlađi beogradski pesnik, rok muzičar i pisac, Sebastijan Sava Gor, koji nam u ovoj svojoj seriji kratkih priča pripoveda o urbanizovanim ambijentima Megalopolisa III, megalopolisa nužnosti, za razliku od futurističko-tehnicističkog Megalopolisa I, megalopolisa želje – Metropolisa, Frica Langa (Fritz Lang, 1890-1976), nikad ne ostvarenog, i Megalopolisa II - tepih-urbanizacije iz šezdesetih godina prošlog veka koja je obećavala “posao i stan za svakog”, ali neuspešno, što se kasnije uspostavilo i kao utopija. Andergraund je ovde važan kao jedini nastavak ideja o Svetskoj /modernoj/ revoluciji, nastalih na zdravoj osnovi Spenserovog  konzervativnog anarhizma (Herbert Spencer 1820 –1903) sa krilaticom: “The Man versus the State / Čovek protiv države/”,  a koji  se takođe nikad nije realizovao kao “naivan”. Dok su se u medjuvremenu pojavile ideje o globalizaciji sveta i društvu bez države, ovaj umetnički pravac, mada naizgled globalistički, zapravo je jedini ostao anarho-podrivački  i ima za krajnji cilj da podrije sve društvene sisteme, aparature i establišmente, bilo koje vrste, pošto ih smatra za prodate i pokvarene..."

This collection of short stories explores the figure of the urban man today. The text analyzes contemporary urban existence and shows that, in these stories, the modern urban man is quite different from the one found in Megalopolis I / Metropolis by Fritz Lang — the megalopolis of desires — as well as from the urban man of Megalopolis II, marked by mass urbanization since the 1960s, an urbanization of disappointment.

The conclusion is that today we live in a Megapolis with a cult of fun and games, and that the writer stands in opposition to it — fighting for more nature and a more natural way of life: within oneself, in everyday life, and in love.

 "U vremenu i trenutku u kome iskrice žudnje ostaju bez odgovora, ali ne i same. One lutaju i svetle po tami zadate egzistencije. Zbog toga autor Sava Gor naslućuje da žena ima krila i da on sam mora smoći snage da poleti ka istinskoj stvarnosti. Tamo, gde zatičemo slike lude zemlje kojom putujemo, glavu koja se okreće na sve strane i kaže – Jedni bez drugih ne možemo. Moramo iznajmiti snove i dozvoliti da kroz tamne ruke propuštamo sveopšte veselje, jer je u dubini okeana tajna strašna, ali i stvaralačka. Naravno ovakve vizije ugovor su izmedju autora i pesničkog dela, izmedju muškarca i žene, toplog i hladnog. Le Baiser de la Femme Dragon :

"Dans le cosmos et au moment où les étincelles du désir restent sans réponse, mais pas seules. Elles errent et brillent dans les ténèbres d'une existence donnée. C'est pourquoi l'auteur Sava Gore sent qu'une femme a des ailes et qu'il doit lui-même trouver la force de s'envoler vers la vraie réalité.
